Terpsaver uses 100% natural argon gas to help protect terpenes, cannabinoid distillates and other oxidation sensitive materials after opening. Argon is inert, food safe, non toxic and non flammable. Because argon is denser than oxygen and air, it flows into the container headspace during application and helps push oxygen rich air upward and away from the stored material. Terpsaver Mini provides approximately 10 L of total argon capacity and Terpsaver Pro approximately 60 L. This refers to the cumulative volume of container headspace that can be filled with argon, not the amount of liquid that can be stored.
How Terpsaver works
Natural argon replaces oxygen rich air in the empty space above the material before the container is sealed.
Oxygen enters
Opening the container allows fresh oxygen containing air to enter the headspace above the terpenes or cannabinoid distillate.
Argon pushes oxygen upward
Argon is denser than oxygen and air. During application it flows into the lower part of the headspace, helping displace oxygen rich air upward and out of the container.
Seal the container
Closing the container after application leaves a reduced oxygen atmosphere around the material, helping limit further oxygen exposure during storage.
